The Brown Scapular
All of us should wear the Brown Scapular. Our Lady has, many times, asked us to do so. If we are wise we will not say no to Our Lady.
Our Lady's Scapular Promises
Our Lady has promised that : "Whosoever dies clothed in this, shall not suffer eternal fire." This promise alone should be enough reason for anyone to wear the Brown Scapular but there is another one, the 'Sabbatine Privilege'. This refers to Our Lady's promise to release from Purgatory on the Saturday after death those who, in addition to wearing the Scapular, would also say, daily, Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Enrollment in The Brown Scapular
We must be officially enrolled in the Brown Scapular by a Priest. The ceremony is very simple and quick. Most people, at their enrollment, change the prayer (The Little Office...) to the Rosary. Since Our Lady asks us to wear the Brown Scapular and to pray the Rosary daily, then this is a good solution.
