Garabandal
The Marian apparitions which took place at Garabandal 1961-1965 are among the most important ever. They predict some of the most spectacular events in human history, all of which are yet to happen. Padre Pio, now St Pio, strongly believed that Our Lady appeared at Garabandal.
At Garabandal Our Lady gave to the world two massages and predicted four future events.
The Messages
Our Lady's first message, given in 1961 is as follows:
"We must make many sacrifices, perform much penance and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, we must lead good lives. If we do not, a chastisement will befall us. The cup is already filling up and if we do not change, a very great chastisement will come upon us."
Our Lady's second message was given in 1965 and is as follows:
"As My message of October 18 has not been complied with, and has not been made known to the world, I am advising you that this is the last one. Before the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over. Many Cardinals, many Bishops and many Priests are on the road to perdition and are taking many souls with them. Less and less importance is being given to the Eucharist. You should turn the wrath of God away from yourselves by your efforts. If you ask His forgiveness with sincere hearts, He will pardon you. I, your Mother, through the intercession of St Michael the Archangel ask you to amend your lives. You are now receiving the last warnings. I love you very much and do not want your condemnation. Pray to us with sincerity and we will grant your requests. You should make more sacrifices. Think about the Passion of Jesus."
The Warning
The Warning is the first of the major events which Our Lady foretold at Garabandal. This will be a personal warning, by God, to every individual in the world. For most it will be a terrible experience, one in which we will see ourselves as God sees us. We will know at that moment what our fate in eternity would be if we were to die.
The Great Miracle
Within a year of the Warning will come the Great Miracle. This miracle will be the greatest miracle that Jesus will have ever worked in the world. It will take place at Garabandal. The world will be informed of the date of the miracle eight days in advance by Conchita, who was one of the visionaries. We know that the Miracle will take place on a Thursday at 08:30 in the evening between the dates of the 8th and 16th of either March, April or May. We know that the sick who will be there on that day will be cured. St Pio has famously said that the Miracle would be paid for by much bloodshed in Europe.
The Permanent Sign
After the Great Miracle, there will be left a Permanent sign, it will remain there until the end of the world. So impressive will it be that no one will be able to deny that it comes from God. We will be able to photograph it but we will not be able to touch it.
The Great Chastisement
The Great Chastisement will take place at some point after the Miracle. No one knows when it will take place but there are plenty of reasons to believe that it will be relatively soon after the Miracle. We know that the Chastisement will come directly from God, it will be supernatural in nature. We know from other reliable sources that the Chastisement will take the form of Three Days of Darkness, during which a great part of humanity will die.
